Sci -The Cell Cycle

TermDefinition
I = Interphase The LONGEST PART of the cell cycle. Cell grows and CHROMOSOMES are COPIED.
P = Prophase The stage where NUCLEAR MEMBRANE DISAPPEARS and PREPARES for mitosis. Chromosomes are X's.
M = Metaphase The stage where the chromosomes (Xs) MEET in the MIDDLE of the cell.
A = Anaphase The stage where chromosomes (Xs) are drawn APART to OPPOSITE sides of the cell.
T = Telophase The stage where 2 NEW NUCLEI are formed in one cell. Same # of chromosomes (Xs)
C = Cytokinesis The CYTOPLASM DIVIDES in 2 to make 2 NEW DAUGHTER CELLS.
