in normal therapeutic doses, salicylates may produce these side effects GI irritation, occasional nausea, and gastric hemorrhage
drug class that is a substitute for aspirin; reduce pain, inflammation, and fever NSAIDs
substitute for aspirin; reduce pain and fever, but NOT inflammation acetaminophen: Tylenol, Datril, Tempra
this misc. analgesic has no side effects when used as directed acetaminophen: Tylenol, Datril, Tempra
