Vocabulary about entrepreneurship and business ownership

TermDefinition
Board of directors A group of people who are chosen to govern the affairs of a cooperation or large institution.
Business Plan A formal statement of a set of business goals.
Charter A written grant by a country’s legislature by which a company, institution, etc. is created and its rights and privileges are defined
Corporation The process of working together to the same end.
Dividends A sum of money paid regularly by a company to its shareholders out of its profits.
Entrepreneur Someone who recognizes a business opportunity and organizes, manages, and assumes the risks of starting a business.
Financing Providing funding for a personal enterprise.
