Eucharist | a sacrement of the body and blood of Christ. Jesus is truly present under the appearances of bread and wine. It is a memorial, it's meal and a sacrifice. It is the only sacrament of Christian Initiation that we receive again and again. |

Real Presence | Jesus is truly present in the Eucharist. When we receive Eucharist, the Body and Blood of Christ are actually present under hte appearances of bread and wine. |
Last Supper | The last time Jesus celebrated Passover with the apostles., Jesus' breaking of the bread and sharing of the cup was an offering of himself for our salvation. |
In the Sacrament of the Eucharist... | We're nourished by Word of God & receive Jesus Christ in Holy Communion,We're made into the Body of Christ, the Church & joined more closely to Christ & one another.The grace first received in Baptism grows in us.We're strengthened to love & serve others. |
covenant | an agreement made between God and his people. |
Covenant with Moses and his people | He promised to be their God and to protect and provide for them. The people promised to be his people and worship the one true God and live by his laws. |
New Covenant | was made by Jesus' death and resurrection. Through this new covenant we are saved and it is possible for us to share in God's life again. |
Eucharist - Memorial | a memorial is something that helps us remember a person or an event, like the Eucharist is a memorial. |
Eucharist - sharing a meal | In the Eucharist, we are nourished by the Body and Blood of Christ. |
Eucharists - sacrifice | At each celebration of the Eucharist, JEsus' sacrifice on the cross, his Resurrection and his Ascension into Heaven made present again. |
breaking of the bread | the first Christians used the words "breaking of the bread" to describe their celebration of Eucharist. |
Living Bread or Bread of Life | Jesus said that I am the living bread that came down from Heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever. |
