What did abolitionists believe a/b slavery? Slavery was morally wrong; cruel and inhumane, and a violation of the principles of democracy
Were abolitionists just men and just African-Americans? Abolitionists were men and women and they were white and African Americans.
Who bought the Louisiana Purchase? Thomas Jefferson
Who did we buy the Louisiana Purchase from? France
What did the Louisiana Purchase do to the size of the United States? doubled the size
How did we get Florida? Spain gave Florida to the U S through a treaty.
How did we acquire Texas? Texas was added to the U.S. after it became an independent republic.
How dis the U.S. get Oregon? The Oregon Territory was divided by the U.S. and Great Britain.
How did California become part of the U.S.? War with Mexico resulted in CA and the southwest territory becoming part of the U.S.
