close-up refers to a camera shot; takes up 80% of frame; may be used to show emotion of characters
thesis statement sentence that states the writer's position or opinion on the topic of the essay
refrain a phrase or verse recurring at intervals in a song or poem, especially at the end of each stanza; chorus
hyperbole an intentional exaggeration
