Causes of the American Revolution

What did the stamp act tax? Ships papers, legal documents, licenses, newspapers, other publications, and even playing cards.
What did the Townshend acts tax? Glass, lead, paints, paper and tea.
The Boston Massacre occurred when? March 5, 1770
When did the tea act start and what did the colonist do? They protested in the streets, burned British tax offices and even hung a tax collector named Andrew Oliver.
When did the Boston Tea Party happen and how much tea was dumped in the harbor? Who did they dress like? December 16, 1773 and 342 chests of tea. Mohawk Indians.
The Coercive Acts were a series of five acts established by who and what were they? The British government. Quartering Acts, closing of the Boston Harbor, Administration of Justice Act, Massachusetts Government Act, Governor Hutchinson is replaced by General Thomas Gage.
Where did the First Continental Congress meet and what did they do? Carpenter's Hall in Philadelphia. They warned the militia, they sent the Declaration of rights, and they told the colonist to continue boycotting.
Why were British troops marching out of Boston?How were the Colonists warned of the approaching British troops? British troops march out of Boston on a mission to take the American arsenal at Concord and to capture Patriot leaders Samuel Adams and John Hancock, known to be hiding at Lexington. Paul Revere and William Dawes.
What were some of the things the second continental did or created? The congress created the continental army, George Washington was supreme commander.They send an olive branch petition to the British which king George the 3rd didn't read.
