Tertiary Activity | People providing a service that is of benefit to other people. |
Sustainable Exploitation | People use a resource for their without putting the needs of a future generation at risk. |
Water Conservation | This is when water is conserved so it will not run-out. |
Irrigation | This is when water from canals and pipes is used to water plants. |
Oil Reserve | The known supply of oil underground |
North Sea | Where oil was successfully found |
Inward Migration | Demand for waters brought many inward migrants to Saudi Arabia. |
Irish Coastal Waters | The presence of oil and gas in the north sea promoted oil companies to look to Irish waters for oil . |
Renewable energy | Energy that can be used for something again and again. |
Meitheal | A group of neighbours and friends who worked together at a common task in rural Ireland. |
