Teachings of Jesus 2
Teachings of Jesus from Matthew of the Bible
Number | Verse |
---|---|
Matt 11:25 | At that time Jesus answered and said: I confess to thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them to the little ones. |
Matt 11:27 | All things are delivered to me by my Father. And no one knoweth the Son, but the Father: neither doth any one know the Father, but the Son, and he to whom it shall please the Son to reveal him. |
Matt 11:28 | Come to me, all you that labour, and are burdened, and I will refresh you. |
Matt 11:29 | Take up my yoke upon you, and learn of me, because I am meek, and humble of heart: and you shall find rest to your souls. |
Matt 11:30 | For my yoke is sweet and my burden light. |
Matt 12:31 | Therefore I say to you: Every sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven men, but the blasphemy of the Spirit shall not be forgiven. |
Matt 12:32 | And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but he that shall speak against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, nor in the world to come. |
Matt 12:33 | Either make the tree good and its fruit good: or make the tree evil, and its fruit evil. For by the fruit the tree is known. |
Matt 12:34 | O generation of vipers, how can you speak good things, whereas you are evil? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. |
Matt 12:35 | A good man out of a good treasure bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of an evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. |
Matt 12:36 | But I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall render an account for it in the day of judgment. |
Matt 12:37 | For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. |
Matt 12:50 | For whosoever shall do the will of my Father, that is in heaven, he is my brother, and sister, and mother. |
Matt 16:24 | Then Jesus said to his disciples: If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. |
Matt 16:25 | For he that will save his life, shall lose it: and he that shall lose his life for my sake, shall find it. |
Matt 16:26 | For what doth it profit a man, if he gain the whole world, and suffer the loss of his own soul? Or what exchange shall a man give for his soul? |
Matt 16:27 | For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels: and then will he render to every man according to his works. |
Matt 16:28 | Amen I say to you, there are some of them that stand here, that shall not taste death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom. |
Matt 17:3 | And said: Amen I say to you, unless you be converted, and become as little children, you shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. |
Matt 17:4 | Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, he is the greater in the kingdom of heaven. |
Matt 17:5 | And he that shall receive one such little child in my name, receiveth me. |
Matt 17:6 | But he that shall scandalize one of these little ones that believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone should be hanged about his neck, and that he should be drowned in the depth of the sea. |
Matt 17:7 | Woe to the world because of scandals. For it must needs be that scandals come: but nevertheless woe to that man by whom the scandal cometh. |
Matt 17:8 | And if thy hand, or thy foot scandalize thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee. It is better for thee to go into life maimed or lame, than having two hands or two feet, to be cast into everlasting fire. |
Matt 17:9 | And if thy eye scandalize thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee. It is better for thee having one eye to enter into life, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire. |
Matt 17:10 | See that you despise not one of these little ones: for I say to you, that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father who is in heaven. |
Matt 17:11 | For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost. |
Matt 17:12 | What think you? If a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them should go astray: doth he not leave the ninety-nine in the mountains, and go to seek that which is gone astray? |
Matt 17:13 | And if it so be that he find it: Amen I say to you, he rejoiceth more for that, than for the ninety-nine that went not astray. |
Matt 17:14 | Even so it is not the will of your Father, who is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish. |
