What phase? Days 15-25 of uterine cycle. Begins after ovulation. Progesterone increases and estrogen drops if egg not fertilized. Uterus becomes more vascular in prep for eff implantation. Associated with variations in cycle length. Surge in LH. | Secretory Phase |
What phase? Days 26-28 of uterine cycle. Progesterone and estrogen levels decline if conception doesn't occur. Endometrium degenerates. 2 days prior to menses. | Ischemic Phase |
