(1819) Determined that Congress had the power to create a National Bank and prevent the states from taxing it. McCulloch v. Maryland
(1954) Overturned Plessy v. Ferguson in stating that "separate educational facilities are inherently unequal." Brown v. Board of Education
(1973) Overturned all state and federal laws outlawing or restricting abortion under the premise that it was an invasion of personal privacy. Roe v. Wade
