Latin American Nations (we were economically connected to them) owed a lot of money to Europe. Roosevelt was worried Europe would intervene if the countries didnt pay up. What did he do? | He added the Roosevelt Corollary to the Monroe Doctrine, reminding Europe that they needed to stay out of our affairs (Monroe) and that if Europe messed with Latin America we would step in |
