Names and uses of lab equipment

Conical Flask/Erlenmeyer Flask Used for mixing and swirling liquids
Test tube Used for mixing small amounts of liquids/solids
Graduated cylinder Used to measure an accurate volume of liquid
Bunsen burner/Hot plate Used to heat materials
Funnel Used to pour liquids without spilling
Goggles/Lab glasses Used to protect our eyes during experiments
Thermometer Used to measure the change in temperature
Spatula Used to transfer small amounts of material to a beaker/text tube
Fume hood Used to mix dangerous chemicals that have toxic/dangerous fumes
Eye wash station Used to clean eyes in the event of contamination with a chemical
