what is the Old kingdom ? Pyramid age. Ruled by a pharaoh who protected the people.
What is the middle kingdom? Golden age. Led to collapse of the old kingdom. Trade begins to expand.
What is the New kingdom? Expansion age. Egypt owns Nubia, Syria, And Palestine.
What does Nile flooding do? Deposits soil.
What is a benefit of red land to the Egyptians? Protection from attackers.
What is a benefit of black land for the Egyptians? Good for crops.
Narmer did this. Unified Egypt. Made the first Dynasty.
This describes Khufu. Had the great pyramid made for him. His son is on the Sphinx.
This describes King Tutankhamun. A very young king. His tomb was discovered with many artifacts still there.
Jean Francois Champollion did this. Discovered the Rosetta Stone. This stone helped decode Hieroglyphics.
Howard Carter is famous for this. Discovered King Tuts tomb, revealing hundreds of ancient Egyptian artifacts.
Hatshepsut did this. Helped expand egypt's trade. Was the first female Pharaoh.
Ramses II did this. Fought the hittites . Made the World's first Peace treaty.
What is Papyrus? The first paper made. It was very durable.
why is mummification important? It helped preserve the bodies of ancient kings and queens. Also other people.
What did the Rosetta stone do? Helped decode Hieroglyphics.
