Range | The difference between the lowest value and the highest value in a data set. |
Interquartile Range | The difference between the first quartile and third quartile of a data set. (To find the first and third quartiles, you find the middle of your data set and then find the middle of the top and bottom halves!) |
Mean (Average) | Divide the sum of all the numbers in a data set by the number of elements in the set. |
Equation | A number sentence stating that two things are equal. ALWAYS has an equal sign |
Expression | A group of terms and operators. NO equal sign |
