Managing Emotions
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Belly breathing | Breath deeply through your nose, exhale through your mouth. |
| Time out | Move to an area away from the person bothering you. |
| Flip the situation around. | Try to think why the person bothering you is acting the way they are. Maybe they are having a bad day. |
| Go for a walk or run. | When feeling stressed out about something it is good to try to clear your mind of the stress. |
| Use positive self talk | I can do this. I know I can. |
| Talk about your feelings with an adult. | Go to your teacher or guidance counselor. |
| Use a journal to write in. | Reflect and write about how your are feeling before acting . |
| Picture yourself in a happy place, | Sitting on a beach or by a lake in the mountains. |
