Rules to BW Technique | 1. receptor placement -- ovr prescribed area 2. receptor position -- parallel to crowns of MX and MD 3. vertical angulation -- +10 4. horizontal angulation -- CR of xray must b directed through contact areas btwn teeth 5. Receptor exposure - |
Exposure of PA and BW | 1. expose all PA ant teeth 2. expose all PA post teeth 3. BW exposures (pm then m) |
Vertical BW | examine lvl of alveolar bone in mouth |
BW Modification -- Endentulous | cotton roll laced in area of missing to support BW |
BW Modification -- Bony Growth | receptor placed btwn tori and tongue |
