Boston Tea Party | extreme protest of the Tea Act carried out by the Boston Sons of Liberty; an act of treason that caused the British gov to punish Boston with the Intolerable Acts |
Intolerable Acts | laws passed by Parliament meant to punish Boston for the Tea Party inc. closing port of Boston and banning town meetings |
Patrick Henry | Virginia member of House of Burgesses; stated "If this be treason, make the most of it." |
Benjamin Franklin | political leader from Philadelphia; created "Join or Die" political cartoon to encourage colonies to work together |
John Adams | young lawyer who represented the soldiers in the Boston Massacre |
