TermDefinition
Cornea Light waves that have been emitted or reflected by an object, enter the eye and first pass through this transparent layer
Convex The light rays that are refracted again as they pass through this transparent lens
Digitized Signals Signals sent and received by radios, cell phones and televisions.
Color not perceived Result if a material absorbs a certain frequency of light, and the frequency is not reflected
Color Filter Allow only certain colors of light to pass/transmit through them; they absorb or reflect all other colors.

Color perceived Result if the material does not absorb a certain frequency of light, and the frequency is reflected
Retina Tiny light sensitive nerves that transfer the energy of the light waves to nerve impulses transmitted through the optic nerve to the brain for interpretation as sight
Gamma Rays High-frequency, low-wavelength energy waves.
Color we see If the color of light that is shined on the object and the color of light that is reflected by the object
Cell phones & Radio Waves Signals that humans cannot sense directly
