Snake bites | usually vipers (cortilidae, morbidity varies on size of snake, amount of venom, time of year, location of bite, age and size of child |
Snake bite interventions | loose tourniquet proximal to bite, remove constricting clothing, immobilize limb, bring dead snake, once symptoms occur it is impossible to stop respiratory paralysis |
Von Recklinhausen Disease | autosomal dominant, coffee colored spots at birth, tumors, elephantitis, affects neurologic, opthalmic & skeletal *tx symptomatic |
