Therapeutic Servies Treating disease, scaling deposits from teeth, sealants and fluoride are also therapeutic when applied in beginning stages when enamel starts breaking down to strengthen it and help resist caries

Professional Regulations and Accreditation for US Dental Hygiene Programs Certification, Continuing Education, Accreditation by ADA Commission on Dental Accreditation, external program review every 7 years, must meet specified national standards, required by state licensing agency for licensure
Function of Ohio State Dental Board 13 members that grant and revoke dental/dental hygiene licenses, enforce the law, examines candidates, biennial registration
Requirements for Licensure of a Dental Hygienist 18 years of age, good moral character, graduate of accredited program, must pass National Board, ADEX dental hygiene exam, and OSDB law exam
