Separatists people who separated from the Church of England
Pilgrim a person who makes a journey for religious reasons
Triangular Trade A system in which goods and slaves were traded among the Americas, Britain, and Africa
temperate mild, moderate
agriculture the science or practice of farming, growing of crops and the rearing of animals to provide food and other products.
textiles cloth items
plantation A large farm that specializes in the production of one or two crops for sale.
indentured servant Colonists who received free passage to North America in exchange for working without pay for a certain number of years
cash crops crops, such as tobacco, sugar, and cotton, raised in large quantities in order to be sold for profit
