Clinical Features of Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma | In oral cavity, asymptomatic swelling in palate or gingiva or sense of enlargement in the mandible. May have vague pain and discomfort. Mandibular lesion may cause mental nerve paresthesia. If within lymph nodes, lymph nodes can enlarge. |
Demographic features of Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma | Occur primarily in adults. In US, Most develop within lymph nodes, but 20-40% develop in extranodal sites. In Korea and Japan, 50% develop in extranodal sites. |
Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma lesion description | Extranodal lesions aka MALT (mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue)are localized, non-ulcerated, diffuse, sessile nodule with a "boggy, soggy feel" and blue/purple/red color. |
Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma histology description | Atypical neoplastic proliferation of lymphatic cells. Subtypes have different histologic features and immunoreactivity profiles. |

Treatment for Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma | Depends on subtype. Most often chemotherapy with localized radiotherapy. Possibly monoclonal antibodies. |
