Following a Bill

Chapter 8 Section 4

QuestionAnswer
What is a filibuster? The use of long speech to prevent a vote on a bill.
What is clotuer? An argument to end the debate on a bill.
How do you stop a bill? The members of congress have a filibuster and a clotuer.
How does a bill die? A bill dies if it does not get the majority vote in the commitee.
How does a bill become a law? A bill can become a law if the president does not veto it.
What happens to a bill that has been vetoed by the president? The bill will go back to congress and if majority of them vote for it then the bill will become a law.
