First Aid Emergencies Key Words

Conscious Awake; aware of what is going on
Contaminated Contains something harmful
First Aid Immediate care given to a victim of injury or sudden illness before professional medical help arrives.
Fracture Broken

Immobilize To keep from moving; stay still
Paralysis unable to move
Persistent repeated or constant
Shock A serious condition in which a person's organs aren't getting enough blood or oxygen
Universal precautions Actions to prevent the spread of diseease
