Tissues from Endoderm | Internal layer Forms 1. epithelial lining the inside of the digestive tube except part of the mouth and pharynx 2. lining cells of all the glands which open into the digestive tract including liver and pancreas. |
Tissues from Mesoderm | Middle layer Forms: 1. Cardiac, skeletal and smooth muscle 2. Bone, cartilage 3. Lymph cells, blood 4. Dentin, pulp, cementum, periodontal ligament |
Apoptosis | Programmed cell death 1. fragmentation of a cell into membrane bound particles 2. eliminated by phagocytosis by specialized cells. 3. Accompanies embryonic growth & differentiation |
