Meckel's Cartilage | cartilage of the FIRST ARCH appears BILATERALLY |
squamosal suture | has a BEVELED or OVERLAPPING type junction connective tissue and blood vessels appear between the bony fonts EX: one squamosal suture is between the parietal and temporal bone |
simple suture | UNCOMPLICATED band of tissue between bony fonts |
serrated suture | an INTERDIGITING type of suture interdigiting extensions from ADJACENT surfaces this is a STRONG suture *looks like fingers coming together or locking* |
Anterior Auricular Hillocks | small hillock of tissue, grouped around the external ear canal derived from the FIRST/ MANDIBULAR ARCH 3 hillocks laterally on each side of the arch, L&R (6 total) |
