Pharyngeal Arch | (Branchial Arch) are the many visible anterior tissue bands lying under the early brain that give rise to the structures of the head and neck. |
Pharyngeal Pouch | Forms the endodermal side between the pharyngeal arches. These pouches separate each arch. There are 5 pharyngeal pouches. - Pouch l - Pouch ll - Pouch lll - Pouch lV - Pouch V |
Pharyngeal Arch #1 Muscles | Innervated by the mandibular division of the trigeminal nerve. Which include all the muscles of mastication, digastric, mylohyoid, tensor tympani, and tensor vela palatine. |
Pharyngeal Arch #1 Nerve | Trigeminal nerve contains both motor and sensory divisions. |
Pharyngeal Arch #1 Cartilage/Bone | Meckel's cartilage appears bilaterally. These approach near the midline. Posteriorly it terminates in the malleus which lies adjacent to the small cartilage of the incus. |
Pharyngeal Arch #1 Vessels | Each of the five pharyngeal arches contain a right and left aortic arch vessel. that leads from the heart to the face, brain, posterior region of the body. |
