Transnational Companies | Transnational companies (TNCs) are companies that have operations in several countries in addition to their home country. |
Foreign Direct Investment | When a company in one country chooses to set up an operation in another country. |
Bartering | Where two parties (people/organisations) swap goods or services |
Trade | The exchanging of goods and services between two parties for payment. |
Domestic Trade | The exchange of goods or services within a country |
International Trade | The exchange of goods or services between different countries. |
Importing | When goods or services are brought from one country into another. |
Exporting | When goods or services are sent from one country to another. |
Visible Trade | The import and export of physical (visible) goods. |
Invisible Trade | The import and export of services. |
