Implied Consent A person's agreement to allow something to happen which is not expressly given, rather inferred by a persons actions or words
Informed Consent A Person’s agreement to allow something to happen (such as surgery) that is based on a full disclosure of the facts needed to make the decision intelligently (ie; knowledge of risks involved, alternatives, benefits, and other information needed)
Negligence Failure to do what any other reasonable, prudent person would do.

Respondeat Superior "Let the Superior Respond" meaning that management/physician may be liable for subordinate employee's wrong-doing.
Standard of Care The degree of skill, knowledge and care ordinarily posessed by people in that particular position.
Tort A private or civil wrong doing or or injury other than a breach of contract
Beneficence The idea of being good and doing good
