Bromocriptine (Parlodel) inhibits pituitary function; also used to tx prolactin-secreting adenomas (hyperprolactinemia), acromegaly, and Parkinson disease
Vasopressin (Pitressin) tx transient diabetes insipidus
Desmopressin (DDAVP, Stimate) Lypressin (Diapid) long term use to tx pituitary diabetes insipidus and certain clotting disorders (hemophilia A and von Willebrand disease
Oxytocin (Pitocin, Syntocinon) injection or intranasally to induce labor, control postpartum hemorrhage, and induce postpartum lactation.
Propranolol counteracts tachycardia and tremors
Radioactive iodine and thyrodectomy treatment of hypertyroidism
Medroxyprogesterone (Provera) a progestin used orally by postmenopausal women
Estrogens - ethinyl estradiol and mestranol Progestins - norgestrel, norethindrone, norethynodrel compound found in oral contraceptives
Seasonale (Ethinyl estradiol/Levonorgestrel) newest oral contraceptive
Clomiphne (Clomid, Serophene) induce ovulation in some anovulatory women
Leuprolide (Lupron) GnRH analog used IM to manage endometriosis and tx of infertility
Tamoxifen (Nolvadex) tx of pre and postmenopausal women
Danazol (Danocrine) suppresses ovarian function and prevents LH and FSH midcycle surge
Raloxifene tx of postmenopausal osteoporosis and prevention of breast cancer
Bazedoxifine conjugated estrogen tx menopause symptoms and postmenopausal osteoporosis
