Leopolds 8th procedure Ask consent, then expose the womb 1st Maneuver (Fundal Grip) - Face clients head - form a triangle - Palpate yung top ng fundus kapag round, hard and movable breech, pag soft, small and immovable cephalic
Leopolds 9th procedure 2nd Maneuver (Umbilical/Lateral Grip) - Face the clients head - palpate yung sides ng abdomen, one hand supporting yung isa nagpapalpate and vice versa -it should feel flat and long
Leopolds 10th procedure 3rd Maneuver (Pawlick's Grip) -Form an L-shape -Place it above symphysis pubis -Kapag na lilift yung ulo ng baby hindi engage dapat di sya nalilift
Leopolds 11th procedure 4th Maneuver (Pelvic grip) -Face clients feet -Palpate from symphysis pubis downward motion sa sides ng abdomen
Leopolds 12thprocedure Place client in a comfortable position
Leopolds 13th procedure note all assessment
Leopolds 14th procedure Perform hand hygiene
Leopolds 15th procedure Document, note any unusual findings
Purpose ng 1st Maneuver (fundal grip) to determine fetal presentation, if breech or cephalic yung baby
Purpose ng 2nd Maneuver (Umbilical/Lateral) para mahanap yung fetal back kasi sa fetal back ip-place yung heart rate monitor kasi mas accurate yung heart rate
Purpose ng 3rd Maneuver (Pawlick's Grip) to determine the degree of engagement
Purpose ng 4th Maneuver (Pelvic Grip) to determine the degree of flexion
