Density test review

review for density, buoyancy and viscosity unit test

QuestionAnswer
What is the density of an object with a mass of 120g and a volume of 7mL? 17.14g/mL
What is the volume of 220g of an object with an density of 55g/cm3? 4cm3
If you measure the volume of a regular object, the units will be what? cm3
If you measure the volume of a liquid or an irregular object the unit will be what? mL
We have an object with a density of 610g/cm3, and a volume of 76cm3. What is the mass of the object? 46,360g
An object has a mass of 180 grams. it is 10cm in legnth, its height is 3cm and its width is 5cm. Will it float in water? no
What would be the unit used for volume if the density is 1.3g/mL mL
How do you measure the volume of a liquid? graduated cylinder
Density is defined as? the ratio of mass to volume
Viscosity is defined as? a fluids resistance to flow
Which is more viscus, honey or water? honey
If a fluid has a high viscosity then it flows? slowly
Buoyancy is defined as? an objects natural ability to float.
Buoyant force is defined as? the upward force.
How do you make and object too dense to float in water, float? change it's shape
An object with a density of 0.996g/mL will float or sink in water? float
What is the density of water? 1g/mL
When calculating density, mass is always measured in what units? grams
If a fluid has a high viscosity, then the density is high or low? high
How do you change the viscosity of a fluid without changing the composition? heat or cool it.
