Why was the Council of Jerusalem called? In order to draw a conclusion between the Jewish Christians and the Gentile converts in terms of observance of the Law
What was the final outcome of the Council of Jerusalem? The permission to preach Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection without forcing the Gentile converts circumcision and the observance of the Law
Why did Sunday become the holiest day of the week for the Early Christians? Sunday was the day when Jesus rose from the dead and when Pentecost occurred.
What does the term "Vicar of Christ" mean? Divine authority, guiding the church
What is the episcopacy? Where the bishops engage themselves in the Church's sacramental work.
Where does the term priest come from? The Greek word presbyteros, or "presbyter"
When was the canon of the New Testament declared in the west? Fifth century
Who is the authentic interpreter of Sacred Scripture? The tradition of the Church
What was the teachings on abortion and infanticide in the Early Christian community? To not go against the fifth commandment and to save human life
Define Apologist A person who writes an apologetic work, a branch of theology that backs up and describes Christianity.
Define Martyr Means "witness" Bears witness to Christ as the way, the truth, and the life.
Define Magisterium To lead or guide God's people away from error in order to follow the truth without interference.
