Narcissistic personality disorder | a personality disorder characterized by an abnormal love of self, self-centeredness, being self-absorbed, and an inability to empathize with the effects of one's behavior on others |
Schizophrenia | a group of psychotic disorders characterized by disturbances in thought, perception, affect, behavior, and communication that last longer than 6 months |
Schizoid personality disorder | A pattern of indifference to social relationships with a limited range of emotional expression and experiences |
Adolescent depression | An emotional state marked by sadness, discouragement, and loss of self-worth that occurs during the teenage years |
Personality disorder | individual traits that reflect ingrained, inflexible and maladaptive patterns of behavior that cause discomfort and impair a person's ability to function |
Post-traumatic stress disorder | a severe anxiety reaction to a traumatic event that occurs outside the range of usual human experience |
Major depression | A recurrent emotional state characterized by feelings of persistent sadness, worthlessness, rejection, loss of hope, and loss of interest in usual activities |
Histrionic personality disorder | a pattern of excessive emotionalism and attention seeking need for approval and inappropriate seductiveness that usually begins in early adulthood |
Antisocial personality disorder | A pattern of irresponsible behavior that lacks morals and ethics and brings the person into conflict with society |
Panic disorder | Unpredictable attacks of anxiety that are not specific to a particular situation and are accompanied by physiological manifestations |
Generalized anxiety disorder | A disorder characterized by diffuse feeling of apprehension with psychological symptoms |
Obsessive compulsive disorder | An anxiety disorder characterized by an inability to resist or stop continuous abnormal thoughts or fears combined with ritualistic, repetitive and involuntary defense behavior |
