what is a delusion of reference? | belief that a neutral message is made especially for them |
what is a delusion of control? | belief that their thoughts/actions are controlled by others |
what is a somatic delusion? | false ideas about their body |
what is a nihilistic delusion? | false ideas about themselves, others, or objects - magical thinking |
what are neologisms? | made up words or phrases that only have meaning to them |
what is preservation speech? | repetition of words and statements; saying the same thing over and over |
what is clang speech? | meaningless use of rhyming words "I tied the rope soap the slope nope" |
what are loose associations? | rapidly shifting from topic to topic, with no connection between one thought and the next |
what are negative symptoms? | behaviors that we should have that have been "taken away" |

paranoid schizophrenia | suspicious, persecuted, ideas of grandeur |
undifferentiated schizophrenia | mixed; insufficiently formed w/o enough symptoms of a specific subtype |
residual schizophrenia | no longer has delusion or hallucinations, but not interested in life |
