Hemoglobin - At Birth 17-19 g/dL
Hemoglobin - 7 days 17.9 g/dL
Hemoglobin - 3 months 11.3 g/dL
Hematocrit - At Birth 45 - 50%
Hematocrit - 7 days 56% Increases due to reliance on fetal hemoglobin for perfusion.
Hematocrit - 3 months 33%
Leukocytes - At Birth 15,000-30,000 cells/mm3
Leukocytes - 7 days 12,000 cells/mm3
Leukocytes - 3 months 12,000 cells/mm3
RBC >6 million Levels out once circulation has been established.
Temperature 97.7 - 98.6 * F
O2 saturation 40 - 70 %
Serum Bilirubin - Jaundice < 5 mg/dL Asymptomatic
Serum Bilirubin - Jaundice 12-15 mg/dL Treatment is initiated. Bili lights. Increase feedings.
Serum Bilirubin - Jaundice 20 mg/dL Transfusion is indicated.
Respirations 30 - 60 Irregular - WNL
