Tachy- fast
Inferior lower or away from the head of the body
Anterior in front of; the front surface
Posterior the back of a structure; structure found toward the back of the body
Medial toward the middle or center of the body; toward the median axis of the body
Lateral away from the midline of the body; to the side
Proximal closer to the center of the body; to the point of attachment to the body
Distal a body part that is further away from the body's center than another part
Superior toward the head or top of the body
Superficial objects that are close to the body's surface
Deep structure that is located farther away from the body's surface; internal
Central structure that is located at or near the midpoint of another structure
Peripheral something that is away from the center of the body or a body part
Sagittal Plane Divides the body lengthwise into left and right portions
Frontal Plane Divides the body into anterior and posterior portions
Transverse Plane Divides the body horizontally, creating an upper and lower body
