pressure injury injuries to the skin associated with open areas from friction, shearing, pressure, and other causes injury.

prone position in which the paitent is on the abdomen spine straight, legs extended and arms flexed on either side of the head
seclusion separating paitent from others
semi-fowlers position in which the patient is on the a=back with knees slightly flexed, and the head of the bed is elevated 30 degrees to 45
semiprone patient is positioned between the side and the abdomen
semisupine patient is positioned between the side and the back
Sims postion position in which the patient is on the left side with left leg extended and right leg flexed; left arm extended and brought behind the back;right arm is flexed and brought foward
slider device with a slippery, low friction surface that is used for moving patients.
supline lying with the face upwards
splint type of orthosis used to miaintain position and prevent contractures of the arm and hand
transfer procedure followed when caning a patients during ambulation
supportive device use to help maintain a patients body in a specific postion
trochanteric roll rolled sheet placed under the patients extending from waist to mid thigh;positioned against the hip to prevent lateral hip rotaion
turning moving draw sheet.
