Patient Relations and the Dental Radiographer

Listening refers to receiving and understanding message
When listening to a patient dental radiographer can use facial expressions to convey appropriate emotional expressions
When a patient trusts the dental professions patient is most likely to comply with prescribes treatment and return
Appearance of dental auxillary is important and are 1st people to meet and greet patient
Greet patient by title
Don't eat or drink while working with patients
Dental auxillary must develop a fast confident chairside manner
The attitude of dental radiographer affects patient relations
Dental Radiographer must remain courteous even if a patient is being uncooperative or difficult
