NA Bed Bath Steps (Skill 11)

| step 1 | knock, introduce, check id, explain, wheels, lower bed, provide privacy, provide call bell |
| step 2 | go wash hands and gather supplies (1 towel, 1 chuck, 1 clean gown, 2 washcloths, soap, basin w/ water, linen basket, trash can) |
| step 3 | remove and dispose of gown while keeping chest covered |
| step 4 | both of you check water temperature |
| step 5 | apply gloves |
| step 6 | 2-stroke, no-soap, 4-fold wash on each eye (inner to outer) |
| step 7 | mitten-grasp, no-soap, gentle wash all over face |
| step 8 | pat face dry with towel |
| step 9 | expose one arm |
| step 10 | place chuck underneath arm |
| step 11 | apply soap to same washcloth |
| step 12 | mitten-grasp wash starting at fingertips up to armpit |
| step 13 | dispose of soapy washcloth |
| step 14 | use second washcloth to rinse arm |
| step 15 | dry arm with towel |
| step 16 | remove and dispose of chuck |
| step 17 | apply clean gown |
| step 18 | remove and dispose of supplies |
| step 19 | wash hands |
| step 20 | wheels, lower bed, REMOVE privacy, provide call bell |
