Migration When people move for one country to another
Migrant 1 who moves from one place to live in another
Internal migrant One who migrates from one part to another part of the same country.
International migration: One who migrates from one part country to another country.
Immigrant: Immigrant: (I = IN) One who migrates in to a country.
Emigrant: Emigrant: (E = Exit) One who migrates out of a country.
Refugee: People who get special permission to live in a country because they are being persecuted in their own country.
Asylum Seeker: Immigrant who applies for permission to be accepted as a refugee.
Individual Migration: Migrations that are planned and carried out by the migrants themselves.
Organised Migration: Migrations that are planned and carried out by governments and powerful groups.
Push factor Something that makes someone want to leave a place
Pull factor Something that attracts people to live in that place
Barriers to Migration: Something that might stop someone from leaving.
Brain Drain: When educated people leave an area, causing a lack of educated workforce.
