disorders of the pituitary gland is dx how by MRI and CT which show pituitary gland enlargment along with elevated serum growth hormone levels
acromegaly: tx of it since cause is by pituitary adenoma, it is treated by transsphenoidal hypophysectomy (surgical removal of the pituitary glan)
