3. What was bacon's rebellion? Nathaniel Bacon (aka the Baconator) led a large group of frontier settlers against the Native Americans in search of lands to farm. The governor declared them rebels. Bacon retaliates by setting fire to Jamestown. Bacon led the first movement towards M
4. What were some issues in the colonies? mostly disease and the relationships toward the natives
5. What is the difference between the pilgrims and the Pilgrims? pilgrims are peopel who take religious journey's. on the other hand, a Pilgrim is the actual settler.
6. what was the mayflower compact? the mayflower compact was a document that was known as the first constitution and that it followed just and equal laws.
7. who was john winthrop? the leader of the puritans
8. who was thomas hooker? a minister, who disagreed with the puritans strict laws and settled a colony that was later named connecticut
9. Who was john wheelright? was forced to leave massachusetts and moved to new hampshire and then later found a charter and made new hampshire a separate colony
10. who is william penn? established the colony pennslyvania. and called it the holy experiment. the relationship toward the natives was good. He would not allow anyone to pass the natives unless they pay what they know.
11. who is james oglethorpe? established georgia. banned slavery. yet, made it legal in 1750's.
