Ferdinand Magellan The Portuguese captain of Spanish fleet that was looking for a western route to Asia. His crew (he died) circumnavigated the world with 18 members and one ship.
Father Bartolome de Las Casas Spanish missionary and historian, was first Catholic priest in the New World and fought for welfare, Native American protection, and preached against slavery system.
