Myasthenia gravis (blank)
Myasthenia gravis An autoimmune motor disorder marked by muscular fatigue. Weakness and fatigue of the eye muscles, muscles of mastication and pharyngeal muscles are the most prominently affected in most patients. ↓ acetylcholine
Muscular Dystrophy Genetic syndrome that affect muscle strength. Marked by either generalized or localized muscle weakness, fifficulties with alking or maintaining posture, muscle spasms, and in some instances neurological. behavioral, cardiac, or other functional limitat.
Polymyositis uncommon inflammatory disease o skeletal muscles.
Cerebral Palsy A disorder caused by a brain injury that occurred before or during birth or in the first few months after birth. Damage may cause paralysis (palsy) in one or more parts of the body.
Guillain-Barre syndrome An autoimmune disorder that affects the peripheral nerves and causes fatigue, weakness, paralysis and sometimes death
Multiple sclerosis is a progressive neurological condition with a variety of symptoms, such as loss of strength, numbness, vision impairments, tremors, and depression
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (Lou Gehrig disease) A serious, progressive, neurologic disease in which loss of nerve cells produces muscle paralysis
Diabetic neuropathy Deterioration of the spinal cord and its nerves due to diabetes.
Parkinson's disease tremor or trembling of the arms, jaw, legs, and face; stiffness or rigidity of the limbs and trunk; bradykinesia – slowness of movement; postural instability, or impaired balance and coordination. loss of dopamine
Vagotomy operation to cut the vagus nerve, which causes the stomach to produce less acid
Oropharyngeal dysphasia Swallowing difficulty, where initiating the swallowing reflex is the main problem. Neurological disorders (eg stroke) kan cause this type of dysphagia
