Indian Removal Act allowed federal government to pay the Native Americans to move west into Indian Territory in OK
How did Native American respond to the Indian Removal Act? some followed it and others resisted by suing and winning at the supreme court. Jackson ignored the supreme court's ruling and sent them away anyway. KING LIKE
Trail of Tears In 1838, Native Americans were removed after suing. over 4,000 died on the rough journey.
Impact on the Presidency economy in a bad spot after the war of 1812
Tariff of Abominations In 1828, congress passed a tarriff on European manufactured goods. The north liked it. South called it this because they felt taht it made the price of goods too high and they relied on manufactured goods.
Nullification Act/ Crisis southern states wanted to nullify any law that they didn't like
The Proclamation to the People of South Carolina warned that if they didn't collect tariff fees he would send an army to enforce the tarriff. showed that AJ was willing to use force
Bank of the US Aj thought it was unconstitutional because it did not give loans to poor, starting buisnesses but did loan money to rich buisnesses.
