Captopril (Capoten) Nursing actions | Monitor Blood pressure, proteinurea, BUN, Creatinine level and WBC. Take 1 hour before meals, rise slowly, monitor for photosensitivity, no salt substitutes. Report Cough and signs of infection. |
Ferrous Sulfate administration | Give tablet with full glass of water, administer solutions with straw. Give 1 hour before or 2 hour after meals. No antacids, coffee, tea, dairy, egg or whole grain 1 hour before or 2 hour after iron. |
Ferrous Sulfate Patient Education | Iron can turn stool green or black, take with vitamin C to increase absorption, keep out of reach of children |

Epogen Nursing Considerations | Do not shake vial and discard unused contents. Monitor Hct and Hgb, Hgb should not exceed 12. Encourage patient to eat Iron rich food. |
