Triangular Trade Colonial Trade route between New England, The west Indies and Africa. Slaves were brought from West Africa to the west Indies. Sugar and molasses were taken to the colonies and rum, guns, and gun powder was taken back to Africa.
Great Awakening Religous movement that swept through the colonies in the 1730 and 1740:changed colonial religon and affected social and political life.
Proclamation Act(line) of 1763 law that banned british settlement west of the applalachian mountains law also ordered settlers to leave the upper Ohio River Valley
Samuel Adams A local leader that beleived that parliment could not tax the colonists without their permission.
Boycott A Popular method of protest was when people refused to buy british goods, they hoped it would stop all these tax on british goods
Repeal In october 1765 delegates from nine colonies met in New york and issued that stamp act was a violation.
Sons Of Liberty Secret group of men that came together and formed a group after the stamp Act, they would oftenly scare tax collecters for them to stop taxing colonists.
Intolerable acts In spring of 1774 it passed the coercive acts. Called these laws Intolerable Acts. Boston Harbor was closed.
First Continental Congress gathering in the fall of 1774 of delegates from throughout the colonies.
Battle of Lexington-Concord The first battle of the revolutionary war, known as Shot heard round the world.
Minute Men American colonial Mitalia who were members ready to fight a minutes notice. Prepared them for war.
