pyrazinamide | hepatotoxicity is main adverse rxn seen; contraindicated in gout & severe hepatic damage; decreased effectivenes w/ antigout meds; can cause myalgia |
rifabutin, Mycobutin | used for myobacterium avium; can cause discolored urine |
rifampin, Rifadin/Rimactane | can cause reddish orange discoloration of body fluids (urine, tears, sweat, sputum), vertigo,GI upset |
rifapentine, Priftin | can cause hyperuricemia, proteinuria, hematuria, lymphopenia |
isoniazid: most common symptom of toxicity | peripheral neuropathy; severe hepatitis may appear after many months of treatment |
